Windows 10 Nutzer müssen nach wie vor auf eine native YouTube App verzichten. Zwar gibt es mit myTube eine UWP App, welche in meinen Augen, die mit Abstand beste YouTube App auf dem Markt ist, dennoch gibt es auch einige Nutzer, welche eine offizielle Lösung bevorzugen. Diese können sich nun die YouTube Webseite als PWA App installieren. Zuvor war die PWA Variante der Webseite lediglich für einige wenige Nutzer verfügbar. Nun rollt YouTube das Feature für alle Nutzer aus. Die Installation ist dabei denkbar einfach.

YouTube PWA jetzt unter Windows 10 installieren

Wie ChromeUnboxed berichtet, rollt der Videogigant die PWA Funktion nun für ChromeOS und auch Windows aus. Somit könnt ihr euch die YouTube Webseite nun als waschechte PWA installieren. Dazu müsst ihr im Chrome oder Edge Browser lediglich auf das kleine Plus-Symbol in der Adresszeile klicken. Fertig.

Wie ChromeUnboxed weiter berichtet, möchte Goolge in Zukunft auch die Qualität von PWA Apps erhöhen. So sollen diese nur noch dann eine Installation in Chrome anbieten können, wenn sie über ein Mindestmaß an Offline-Fähigkeiten verfügen. Da Microsoft mit Windows 10X ebenfalls stark auf PWAs und das Web setzen möchte, wären bessere PWA-Versionen beliebter Dienste und Webseiten sicherlich eine gute Nachricht.
