"Christus ist erstanden! O tönt" (Christ is risen! O sound) is a Catholic hymn for Easter. It was written as a paraphrase of the Easter sequence Victimae paschali laudes, and appeared in 1816 by Johann Weinzierl. A melody was composed by Paul Schniebel in 1826.[1] The first of six stanzas begins: Christus ist erstanden! O tönt, ihr Jubellieder, tönt!.[1] The hymn is similar to Schubert's Deutsche Messe in its idea to provide singable hymns in German for the congregational.[1]

"Christus ist erstanden! O tönt„(Kristus vstal z mrtvých! Ó zvuk) je katolík hymnus pro velikonoční. Bylo to napsáno jako parafráze na velikonoční sekvenci Victimae paschali chválí, a objevil se v roce 1816 Johann Weinzierl. Melodii složil Paul Schniebel v roce 1826.[1] První ze šesti slok začíná: Christus ist erstanden! O tönt, ihr Jubellieder, tönt!.[1] Hymnus je podobný Schubertovi Deutsche Messe ve své myšlence poskytnout sborové hymny v němčině pro sbor.[1]

Chvalozpěv se objevil v regionálních částech katolických zpěvníků, oba v roce 1975 Gotteslob a 2013 Gotteslob.[2][3] Je to často zpívaná hymna ve velikonočních bohoslužbách.
